What’s inside issue six of SoccerexPro

SoccerexPro is back for its first publication of the year this week, with a look at the new force in Asian football: Australia, hosts and champions of the AFC Asian Cup less than a decade after joining the Asian Football Confederation.

Football Federation Australia chief executive David Gallop and AFC Asian Cup 2015 chief operating officer Mark Falvo look back at a tournament which showcased Australia's 21st century relationship with the world's most populous continent, and ahead to the future of football in their own sports-mad nation.

Keeping a focus on Asia ahead of the Soccerex Asian Forum on 3rd and 4th May, James Emmett has been to Japan. He brings word from Dentsu and from Hokkaido-based club Consadole Sapporo on a new commercial dawn for the J League.

Elsewhere in the issue, we've been talking to the innovators. There's an in-depth interview with Adidas head of football innovation Antonio Zea, reports on the changing ways the Premier League is being watched and an introduction to the 21st Club, the consultancy bringing a forward-thinking approach to the game.

We've also made some updates of our own with a clutch of new regular features. Former Sainsbury's chief executive Justin King gives a view of the football industry from beyond the touchline, we hear from The Football League Trust about their work in development and Michael Long catches up with Titi Camara in the players' lounge, as the former Liverpool striker shares stories from a colourful career on and off the field.

It promises to be a pivotal year for football, and we'll be there to cover the game in depth from around the world.

Happy reading.
